10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…Happy New Year!!! Do you remember the days that led up to that momentous countdown? If so, you were not alone. People around the globe were preparing to “bring the new year in right”. For some, that meant going to church. For others it meant sitting down writing resolutions to be fulfilled over the course of 365 days. What did the dawning of a new year signify to you? Did you approach the countdown with great expectation? Did you resolve to change some things? Is it your desire to live a sound, balanced life? The theme of this blog for 2018 is “WHOLENESS”. It is inspired by the following scripture:  1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV) “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

                                        

With this blog, it is our goal to edify, uplift and encourage you to live a full, whole life. We will explore such topics as character development, health and fitness, as well as personal finance and budgeting. Let’s make this year epic as we strive to live and walk in “WHOLENESS”.

New and inspiring posts will be uploaded every Monday. Sometimes you may laugh; and other times, you may cry. Ultimately, we hope that you are moved to action. Please feel free to comment and share. See you Monday.

@Candi...thanks for stopping by and sharing on the blog. It is our
prayer that the Body of Christ will be edified and encouraged to make
room for God's elevation. Sometimes, that does mean making necessary
changes. We look forward to sharing with you and hearing from you in the
months to come.

I am sure change can difficult for us all, especially when we are use to
something a certain way. I have made many attempts to change with no
thought really, just knew it needed to be done and much to my suprize
the change took place but was not permanent. I think many of us think
that when we decide to change that work is done and it does not require
anything else of us. That is so far from the truth, and more
importantly we must understand that when we get to the point of changing
another steps come in to play or maintaining the desired change. I once
heard a quote when the pain of remaining the same is greater than the
pain of change then you will change. Food for thought, and we all can
learn something from making changes and realizing when we have maxed out
on the change and it is time to desire more and to come up hirer because
your desired change has served its purpose. This is important to keep
us from becoming stagnate where we are. I love change more importantly
I love to move up higher knowing their are higher heights and deeper depths!

The beginning of every year I would always set a goal to change
something about myself, EXCEPT for this year. This year I told myself
that there was no point in setting myself up for failure. I would hold
fast to my convictions for a couple of months, then I would fall off.
So, this year I just let the new year come and go with no expectations.
I told myself when you truly desire to change with a determined mind,
then and only then will change come. <br />
<br />
When you are merely saying words with no real expectations on yourself
you become as, &#39;sounding brass or clanging cymbal&#39;, JUST noise.
(I Cor. 13:1)<br />
When you REALLY want change, you will change. I desire with everything
in me to change. To change for the better physically, mentally,
emotionally, and spiritually. I&#39;m doing things differently. I have a
conscious awareness of my flaws and shortcomings, and i am working on
changing them, all with God&#39;s help of course. WITHout Him, i
wouldn&#39;t be able to make it through. It&#39;s also His will that I
be made whole, so I know I&#39;m going to make it.....IF i faint not!! <br />
&quot;When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time
in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?&quot;<br />
